Poetry By Ronnie Tucker

Ronnie Tucker

Black

Empty tears fall like a sad memory
Daylight is lost in the twilight
No destination, no place to lay a weary head
Body still, covered in the darkness
Bleed black for everyone

Give it all
O the pain, the pain
Twisted, so twisted inside
Screaming alive, alive
Only stillness and black

A canvas, a poem,
a poor soul left in the pouring rain
Nothing left but this stain
So useless, so useless I am
I take a walk outside my mind

I can’t feel emotions like you do
I have been bitten by my own devil’s
And they are real
Before my eyes
I cry I cry I cry

I know I don’t give a damn
About someone else’s God
When I don’t even know mine
Hallowed and hollowed existence
O how it would be great to feel again

I gave all I have and I can’t give no more
No laughter left inside
So twisted and broken I have become
All that was everything
Is gone, gone

All that I am is damned
I know I was beautiful inside once
But now I am black
Black so black
Darkness is my destination

As dusk breathes it’s last breath
A Poet swallowed in his own hell
The pen bleeds, bleeds
Upon a canvas of dreams
Yes now so still
