One sky we share in common,
You who hold the globe in hand,
one earth where we all draw our breath,
But you have crowned it all with death.
The same air we breathe every moment,
the same rays that add life to ours,
one shelter where we birth and raise generations,
But you leave death to carry the baton.
In this nest that God bestowed on us,
where life has thrived for thousands of years,
tested and tried a hundred times over,
Why should silence be left to reign?
And what fault have the tender sprouts,
that we scorch them with black dust,
We darken their sky,
We cover their sun,
We raise them in violence and cruelty?
