Bogdana Găgeanu
She was so happy to be a mother
She couldn’t wait for it!
It was the most beautiful experience.
But the doctors said that her baby is dead
She couldn’t speak.
Why did that happen?
Her soul was empty,
Looking at the dead baby
And covered him with tears.
– Do something! Make a miracle!
I want my baby back, she asked.
But nobody answered,
Outside, the sound of a church bell.

I want to speak with myself,
With my loneliness
And nature will witness
My inner lava
And my struggle.
Clothes
Today, I will dress
The blue of the sea
Because I want you
To reflect in my eyes.
Tomorrow, I will dress
The red of the leaves
Because I want you
To reflect on my lips.
Forever, I will dress
The perfume of your body
Because I want you
To reflect in me.

Disabled
I am disabled
And you’re ashamed
Even if I am your sister.
My body is disabled
My heart is in more pain You tell me you don’t need me.
I lost my leg
I wanted to save you,
Risking my life.
I don’t want to lose my heart
My heart is you,
My only brother.

I want to be a cartoon
To make people laugh
When they are sad.
I want to be a cartoon
To look myself in the mirror
And laugh when I am sad.
I want to be a cartoon
To remind me that I am
An adult with a child’s soul.
