Challenge : Acrostic Poem

ACROSTIC POEM

Weekly Challenge the Monsoon

Hey Dear bards,

We are back with yet another contest!

We all poets have a deep relationship with the monsoon. Often the grey clouds and showers make us paint our imaginations with words. So today’s contest is to write an ACROSTIC POEM with the word MONSOON or any word related to monsoon, like SHOWER, CLOUD, RAIN, etc., in the comment section of this post.

The contest is open till Saturday midnight. The best three poems will be awarded certificates and, of course, will be uploaded on GPP’s international website. Therefore, shower your very own poetic garden, Global Poet and Poetry with your verses.

Thank you, everyone, for the submission of wonderful poems. We have received many poems, and we feel everyone is the best; we have decided and are delighted to publish all poems with respect and honour to our poets and their creativity.
The winner announcement with the poems will be published soon; please keep an eye on our portals. Thank you once again for your contributions.

Best wishes

Shower

Showers of droplets earth needs while
Showers of blessings humanity needs
Heavens rain dance upon the barren
pieces of land.
Open up the hearts of humans to
enjoy the happiness & peace.
WIth singing earth & wandering
clouds.
Enthusiastic hope with well-wishing
feelings entering my soul.
Rain in monsoon increasing my self-
reliance to improve the feeling of
compassion towards mankind.

Monsoon

Molten kiss of nature, when
Obliterates yesterday’s pain
Nascent dreams sprawl once again
Scintillating petrichor intoxicated by
Old flavours of salty dreams
Oasis replenished, mirage glistening
Nectarous urge drench the insatiable heart

Monsoon

My hand point the rain trend
Observing it locality with my umbrella
None is ready to get moist
Soggy are my fingers
Observation kept me with felicity
Overdose with giggles,
Never will I turn back.

Monsoon

Mesmerizing joys of summer bidding adieu
Officially announced by the monsoon debut
Nostalgic days of childhood flashing back
Starstruck at how rainshowers bring good luck
Oh, dear! the struggles of climate change are real
Only the prepared survives this ordeal:
New season adventures- part of our journey!

Raindrop

River water gets ecstatic
At the touch of sunshine
It feels as if clouds are running to
Nudge it for an union.
Dust listening to the
Rumbling of clouds settle
Over earth in eagerness and
Pray to pour down and to quench thirst.

Heavenly Blessings

Heavens showers blessings on
Earth to purify all souls
blissfully. (Heavens =sky)
Emerged sensation, flora
&fauna dance in merry and
cheery.
Attiring green saree, the earth
spreads hopes and
aspirations.
Visionary Lovers dance
pleasantly sucking coolness
and love in glee & gayness.
Easing and relieving from
prickly sizzling summer pang
and pain, creatures dance
merrily.
Nagged farmers sing the
songs naively along with
patter pitter melody.
Loud music along with croaking
sound seems pleasant and
peaceful.
Yelling of children while they
float the paper boats on the
blessings enrichs the
surrounding with mirthful and
blissful atmosphere.
Blissful butterflies fly cheerfully
to kiss flowers and suck
honey passionately
Looked bare and bald headed
mountain crowns the coloured
precious chaplet.
Enactive and dead rivers.
become alive and active
singing the song swelling the
chest.
Spangled with shinning
blessings, Earth is dressed
with different coloured sarees
Sprightly people dance
excitedly enjoying the days to
celebrate the functions.
(Sprightly…adj
Impressive Mother looks golden
colour providing food, fire
shelter and safety
Naturally, RAINS, the heavenly
blessings pour from heaven
as precious bounty.
God is full of mercy, kind
showing his greatness
changing the seasons
Salute superpower for your
sustainable sincerity to save and
secure the creature pouring.

Clouds

Coalescing with thy grey shades
Let me be bedimmed
Overlooking those snowy cliffs
Unifying with the rain
Defrosting and dissipating
Showering in jubilation.

Downpour

Delved in solvent moisture
Overwhelmed by erratic deluge
Water water everywhere
No resilience could be used
Porous land bringforth golden hay
Oblivious to sporadic raze
Under cloud’s moody symphony
Rendezvous with torrential melancholy

Cloudburst

Careful precision as the King of the Sky rained down his forbearance of accumulated water.
Leiden with pregnant clouds that painted abstract contours of amazing pictures.
Overburdened unfortunately to a sagging bulk as choice depleted to almost nil.
Undefeated to exert off the pressure, the sky began the plot to drop.
Determined to annihilate the excess weight, the sky was screaming rage as the air polarized from light to dark.
Beholden to the force of nature, the rain came down in magnificent torrents.
Usurping the might of the sun, the ground was tarnished from tired drought to thirsty gulps.
Rest assured the earth was now saturated with nourishing liquid silver.
Sensational satisfaction and necessity addressed.
Time had eventually arrived to rain no more for the missing ache of a smiling sun

Monsoon

Months of summer bidding farewell,
Over the head hovers roaring dark clouds,
Night sometimes even during the day,
Sheets of rain pitter-patter on the windowpane,
Oodles of blessings for the parched earth,
Oozing greenery, cleansed and vibrant
Nostalgic paper boat race is about to start.

Monsoon

Monsoon follows footprints of sumner
Overcast and dark gloomy skies
Nature comes to life in a sea of green
Sometimes the blessings of this season can turn into a curse
Over flooding can cause calamities
Overjoyed children love to make paper boats on the street
Not forgetting advantages and disadvantages, the life on earth circles around the monsoon

Monsoon

Moon plays peek-a-boo in the night sky
Obscuring in the welkin, behind the clouds,
None can find the stars hid in the darkness,
Sultry summer gives way to misty milieu,
On the night sky play of dazzling lightning,
Over the trees, grasses, drenching drizzling,
Nostalgia of childhood, floating paper boats in puddle.

Rain

Rain…O beautiful rain no money can buy that pleasure o rain
Adds beauty to the environment and brings happiness after the heavy summer pain
It is on such day you connect to your inner child once again
Nature’s blessings..a mood changer romantic season O rain

Blessful Rain

Blessfull days full of hoping
Lethargic rain makes me drained body
Evening is shining like first morning
Sunshine told to me to be strength
Sextile in astrological field is opened to all of us
Full of emotions, I am so happy to see rain
Unconsidered but still happy
Life is more valuable for me
Live longer and be so happy
Remember just one thing
Again and again, I will be happy
If you be happy about first rain
Nevertheless but expected, be brave!

Shower

Suddenly clouds appeared in the sky,
Having seen the clouds birds began to fly
Of them one little bird being hopeless
Wandering aimlessly came to a place,
Eagerly try to sit again and again
Rainshower gave her too much pain.

Monsoon

Mellifluous music of the raindrops,
Oozing like tears from the dark dense clouds,
Nature wearing a verdure cloak,
Spread throughout undulating dale,
Observing mystic enchantress Nature’s wand,
Obliterating all that curses the land.
Now in her bridal finery adorned.

Cloud

Cool wind is blowing
Listening to the sounds of winter
Open the window of the mind
Until bedtime stay awake
Deliver it to my warm heart
