Daily Selected Poems: M. J. Dulake
CLIMBING MOUNTAINS
.
Dancing with butterflies I sang with the birds
Seen horses with frills in a field running wild
Romancing the skies as a wind took my words
Dreaming of daffodils that begun as a child.
I climbed up mountains and shouted out loud
Writing my rhymes with the pen that I took
A mind like a fountain , sprouted from clouds
And watched my lines fall like rain in the Brook
As I wandered away from this life long storm
I boarded a ship and sailed across oceans
Chances squandered , a wish to be reborn
A Rainbow that slipped in these my emotions
I find this new life in my faraway lands
No longer captured in the darkest of days
Now it seems right with my pen in my hands
To write a few chapters of where I now stay
I travel with birds away from mind
Above the clouds , the boat and the trees
Unravelled words that are now making rhymes
A love that is proud as I float with the breeze.
