The Sonnet of Virtue. 5/13

Chapter 5 PRUDENCE.

Virtue ..Tenacity.

.
A steadfast grip upon your unity.
So fast your hold upon tenacity.
Tenacious with a retentive memory.
Easy if you apply persistently.
And ownership proves your ability.
Doubtless ability with this virtue.
Forceful but with responsibility.
A responsibility you’ll accrue.
So doggedly to perform a rescue.
Tenacity proves to be set in stone.
Granted you now know your aim is so true.
Rock hard foundations but not overblown.
It’s so useful in any pursuit.
Pertinaciously tough in any dispute.

A proverb is the wit of one

And the wisdom of many.

An Acrostic Poem

A proverb is the wit of one
And the wisdom of many.
Patience that grows not in everyone’s garden.
Refers to patience as a species of dock.
Oh patience is the best shield against affronts
Virtuous patience is the key to joy.
Exactly as haste is the key to sorrow.
Remember to be served you must be patient.
Be aware that patience surpasses learning.
I have learnt of life that patience is a virtue.
So all virtues are trusted keys to life.
The tongue talks at the heads cost.
He says what he likes will hear what he don’t
Even though the tongue is not of steel.
Wicked lies and innuendo cuts like a knife.
In he that gives you fair words
Then feeds you with an empty spoon.
Oh words are but wind but blows unkind.
From hearing comes wisdom.
Only speaking distillates repentance.
Nature has given us two ears.
Eyes we are also granted two.
And but one tongue.
Now to the end we should hear more
Definitely, than we speak.
Then try to hear twice before speaking once.
He who knows most speaks the least.
Even an eternal talker neither hears nor learns
When it is a good tongue that speaks no ill
It is a better heart that thinks none.
Speech is the picture of the mind.
Deeds are fruits, words are but leaves.
Our actions are our security. Not judgements
Made by others, easier said than done.
Only to see a man do a good deed
For one good deed atones a thousand faults.
Moderation in all things.
And virtue is found in the middle ground.
Now English Proverbs are an ancient code.
Years in the making. A lifetime to understand.

⁃ Hope is taking a positive future view that good will prevail.

16 .Respectfulness

.

Honour the aged with respectfulness.
Rejoice in meaningful conversation.
Speak your truth with determined politeness.
By adopting a mindful thoughtfulness.
Share the floor in balanced moderation.
Honour the aged with respectfulness.
Converse with a polite courteousness.
Argue with the utmost toleration.
Speak your truth with determined politeness.
Generate a humble graciousness.
Throw light upon any exploration.
Honour the aged with respectfulness.
By switching on a dutiful kindness.
See fair play in any liberation.
Speak your truth with determined politeness.
Respectfulness promotes a happiness.
Add up the pro’s and con’s with numeration.
Honour the aged with respectfulness.
Speak your truth with determined politeness.

Virtue Acrostics 2/11

Nurturing

.
Nurturing.
Undergoing the kind of care a mother has.
Regarding children that they’ve given life
To display the kind of emotional care for one
Understand to do to others by your faith.
Remedial virtues nurturing back to health
I grant you faith in this hope as given now.
Not for reward should this be on the table.
Grant your skill to nurture with a willing heart.

Virtue Acrostic 2/1

Hopefulness

.
Hopefulness
On the side of hopefulness let us be.
Perfectly it’s the second of the Godly virtues
Expectations of affective and emotional states
Feelings of hope always are hope inspiring.
Unless you have that desire it may not happen
Like having grounds for feeling hopeful
Not in the dim and distant future years.
Expectations with confidence of a happening.
Something that you wish to happen in the now
So intended with some possibility of fulfilment
