I am waiting for this moment
I had been waiting for that moment
it’s come and… gone in a jiffy
days pass by, to months
months pass by, to counter years
years leap to centuries, in a moment
we remain, gathering & collecting
glorious moments & remains of yesterday
some neatly packed moments of gain
some trashed with pain
yet hopefully, we look forward
for lively moments again
reminds me the story of a reverend monk
invited to high official’s child’s birthday
the innocence of a child can break highest self esteem
approaches the great sage for blessing
blowing off the lamp, he asks, “Where is the fire gone?”
child smiling replies, “Where it came from”
the moment “Nimitham” is in the journey,
those pleasant & not so pleasant sporadic showers
in the flowing river of our life
to educate, to ignite the spark… for those asleep
pushing you to ecstasy and… fades
thrill no more exists, but for the moment
Each moment “a learning”
