Would You Be My Valentine

When I saw you standing over there…
with moonlight shining through your hair…
My heart stood still… I could hardly breathe …
I wanted to kiss you… showing you how deeply I care!

You’re the personification of Grace and Elegance…
all wrapped up with a divine glow on your face!
You look so angelic in that beautiful flowing gown…
of blue chiffon and a touch of handmade lace!

Oh, please my heart… be still …let me think!
What should I say or what might I do?
Shall I tell her that I think she’s a dream come true…
and that I love her so much… and truely I do!

My dear I’ve been watching you there’s nothing else left for me to do…
it’s time… to tell you that I love you and I want you to be mine…
not for today or tomorrow but forever… I want you for all time!
Would You Be My Valentine?

If I Were to Die Tonight

If I were to die tonight…
I wonder what others would say of me…
would they say that she wasn’t very popular…
She wasn’t highly educated…
and she sure wasn’t rich…
All of that would be very true!

Would they say anything about…
how real I was… even though I wasn’t perfect…
how humble but strong I was…
willing to share with others…
because I really cared about their welfare!

Would they say…. she was as rich as they come…
she was loved by everyone… she was so very happy…
because she learned to be content in life …
thankful with what she had … She lived a purposeful…
and very meaningful life!

Oh yes, I wonder what they would say…
if I were to die tonight?
But really… it would not matter to me at all…
I would be at home… in the arms of The One …
Who created me… loved me and cared for me!

Breathtakingly Beautiful

Among the trees… so lush and green…
the flowers… the birds and colorful butterflies…
My soul is set free to just be. me…
in an atmosphere so mysteriously serene!

I sit here enjoying all of this beautiful undergrowth…
reflecting on things that I dearly love…
things I’ve done… places I’ve been and people I’ve known…
Nature takes on a beautiful luminous glow!

Peaceful thoughts come and go….
flowing through my mind…
like a gentle breeze through the trees…
reflections of moments captured in time!

Everything I see and feel brings so much peace to me…
God, I pray humbly…. that You will clothe me…
with the ambience of Your Illuminous Grace….
That I might being smiles to uplift many a fallen or sad face!
