My Poems Matters by Indrani Chowdhury

Indrani Chowdhury

My Poems Matters

The influx of random, scandalous,
marvellous thoughts and ideas,
Raising an alarming pandemonium i
n the deepest recesses of my being,
Almost coerce me to hold my pen to write poems,
About this, that, and everything.

I feel that my pen must write,
About my deeply layered ideas and thoughts,
What I know is felt by everyone,
But what they are unable to record meaningfully.

I am blessed and privileged,
To be a poet who can churn words,
And I arrange those words as meaningful verses,
And these verses are designed to paint mine
and others’ inner universe.

I am sure all would read my poems and laugh
and bleed with me,
As it would surely echo their inner dreams
and silent screams,
My poems would be an instrument
of their empowerment,
As here, they would discover their relatable,
inner realm.
