Poetry for Peace: Hasmukh Mehta

Hasmukh Mehta

O, God, Shower peace

I cry in the wilderness
no one hears
I beat a drum
but everybody keeps mum
what do I wish?
scores of deadly rockets are fired
I hear far of cries
no one listens to and tries to stop
my drum has a peaceful sound
I beat more and go around
the wat possibilities rise
much to our surprises
what shall it deliver?
only pain and anguish later!
many children shall go orphan
much more cries from humans
I stare at the sky
and ask, God why?
why people go mad for nothing?
why does your world godown with shame?
I bow down and
make it known
Peace ,O .god
shower peace upon us.
