Daily Selected Poems : Sadia Nazib

Sadia Nazib

Immersion in fire

I am like an ant, in search of honey

Silently at the end of transiting

Your navel in pleasure

In the fountain hidden in the forest

I take a bath to purify myself

But its holiness-

Not sanctify in Ganges’s water.

Sometimes,

I become a brave hunter to drink honey,

Extravagant! Woman.

The resonant call of your eyes

Wild buffalo irritates my brain

Wet hair prolongs to the buttocks,

The fire flows over the thorax

And immersion in fire-

In frenzy heart of love.

I desire to be an ant

In the insect realm

A hunter of the human habitat

And an enslaved in your empire!

Time as like Madhavi

.

Madhavi runs like time,
seem time is like Madhavi
Madhavi comes and say-
Leaving, let’s go, let’s go …
freaky woman,
Will not stays calm
When falls into the water merges with the tide
Just flowing.
Carrying neurasthenia on feet
steps continue over the horizon
with leaving marks on the rocks,
stone and fossils…
touches the limb of ancient Licchavi
will not stop at any enticement.
Madhabi- come, sit next to me
In between your presence and leave
I break the bud
and fall on the feet bloomed-stalk
I stay like dry leaves in disdain
on green young grass.
Madhavi, don’t come and say
I am leaving, going, gone,…

Creation

.

The hairy chest of young man
adolescent girl finds the smell of sandalwood.
Dipping faces in dense forest
puffs the scent of life.
open hair on the back being shaded-clouds
both are lost beneath
Prehistoric.
Young woman rubbing the face on his
hairy chest and ignites the fire
like an illuminated stone.
Instantly the flame being burned
fire conferred through the veins of two
fragrances being spread wildfires.
The fire brings a tidal wave
In the wilderness of creation.
many wildflowers started to bloom…
a new world has grown
on the grass of the young man’s chest.

Short story…

Downpour outside
Girija Devi’s song playing on an old gramophone
‘Ayashi barkhame kaha hai tu sajna ….’
A throbbing heart. Anxiously waiting for you to come…
soaking wet in the rain at midnight.
Water pouring from your hair
I will rub on my body and soul, secretly
I will open the fold of the sari and wipe
The wet rainy smell of hair. Face, with dense affection.
I look at this picture again and again.
at the end of uproar –
from winter to summer… in my mind. Attentively.
Afar, a faraway…
As far as can be said ‘distance,
When you went so far away
The tide follows back
picture of the wish then.
Maybe I know for sure …
As far as both eyes observe, the blue sky,
As far as the stars can ocular
Shining Swati or Arundhati.
You went that far
and burned the same picture of the wish.
That’s the story.
The story that will never continue..

Poet

Cappuccino engulf on the mug
Like sweating tissue silently
Words and rhythms of poem being mingling in vapour
Look up once with eyes open
The affectionate eyes, love in both eyes
The mountain of poetry being accumulate in Ashtray
Will you climb the top of that mountain?
I will tie you with my poetry and tune
I will tie tightened.
in Rekhab and Nikhad
In all tenderness.
Do not cover your face with shadow of the cloud
Rainbow girl, keep an eye on my eyes once
Burning silently
Put your lips on my lips once!

.

*Rekhab- musical notation
*Nikhad- vocal, sixth of the C scale

Come Traveller

Come traveller, let’s climb over moonlight
swim across the hollow sky
Come with the distant light of the stars
confer them in wet-stream of affection
in the dry barren night.
O’ tired passer-by, take some blue
throw away some bygone silent wounds
Let’s exchange some of the past of the two.
house arrest vagrant mind
adorned in gold-chain-
being got lost in domestic life.
Will you leave your footprints?
The rays will remain in my flower garden!
