Poetry for Peace: Sadia Nazib

Sadia Nazib

Palestine

The smell of gunpowder floating in the air
The grasses are wet with bloody rain
The Gaza Valley in trembling
The world’s law fails to respond
Outraged, destructive and by oppression
today Palestine in mourn.
The baby’s smile flowed into tears.
Instead of toys, they are holding weapons.
Men’s love shining with gun barrels and explosions,
while beloved naked women screaming sounds everywhere!
Cunning, greedy aggression
The shameless farce of humanity laugh at loud
while children’s faces flow with blood
the happiness of hundreds of life being burned
the pain of losing a loved one when
Burning in the flames of hatred,
Yet, the law and humanity failed
Today world witnessed the devastation and oppression
Today, Palestine is full of mourn!
