Mist Of Colours
.
Sing the song of love, O’Dear!
Sing the song of love.
Touch the chords of heart, my love
Touch the chords of heart.
Cascading down as the bubbling stream
Touching the soft petals as dreams
Blending with the hues of spring
Let our amorous love flow this evening.
.
Let us be blanketed
By the mist of colours
Let the aura of our passion
Driveaway all pallor
Let our euphoric souls unite
For you owe all my love, My Saviour!
Let’s chase our fantasies in fields of green
Let’s paint our sky with the vivacity of teen
Let’s eternalise our love on this day of spring.
…………………………………………..
.
And the land was hit
By frosty winds yet again
The bushes and beasts
Went on a deep slumber.
And the humans cuddled
In their cosy homes.
As if the earth estivated
For a period unknown.
But that lone leaf
Detached long back
In search of warmth
‘fore tripping on the ground
Rested amidst those barren branches
Sometimes on the sprigs and twigs
And on that trunk too
To revive memories of those days
When she nourished them with her green shade.
Alas! Her toils were in vain.
Eventually the last pursuit she made
‘fore succumbing to her fate
Enshrouding herself with dead leaves
Nescient she was, for they have lost their warmth way back.

On this darling day, O’love!
I offer you my bouquet of love
Preserve it, nourish it with care
You might sprinkle some water too.
Don’t be affronted, O’dear!
If a few flowers are putrid or wilted
Kindly regard them as my foibles.
But I do assure you,
The rest shall spread
Fragrance exotic, celestial
And shall cover up the flawed ones.
O’Love! The blooms’re a bit tender
As my fragile heart
You might not recompense love
Yet don’t cast them off
Let them stay in that lonesome nook
They’ll cheer you in your days of gloom
Remember, O’Dear! Like that bouquet
Pristine is my love for you!
………………………………………………
Does every saga spin a joyous tale?
Does every passerine sing a jolly song?
Does every droplet create a rainbow?
Does every shower concoct the essence of petrichor?
The river brimming and gushing merrily
Conceals the bruises beneath
And the leaf that floats happily with the stream
Severing all ties with the woods
Conceals its disdain!
Yet, let some verses be crystalline, pellucid
Flowing with those lumps
Stuck in throat in days of yore
Or battered the heart hitherto.
Let some couplets weave the tale
When days were of myriad shades
And nights weren’t pale.
Let some humans know
Life is a seesaw of happiness and woe.
A cycle of dusk and luminosity
Where dreams yarn fables of congeniality.

………………………………………………
Let me have the big bite, you enjoy the small
Don’t be greedy, don’t be jealous!
For a petty thing, don’t get into a brawl.
Let me wear that new dress, you put on old one
Don’t be greedy, don’t be jealous
For that’s a decent gown, you look a-one.
Let me have the window seat, you might sit in between
Oh! Don’t be greedy, don’t be jealous
There’s nothing to see, not worth a scene!
Let me try the new slippers, you wear the ballerina
Don’t be greedy, don’t be jealous
What if you fall and break your femur!
Oh! Don’t fight over trivial issues
Be considerate as me,
Try and compromise things for others
Be charitable with glee.
……………………………………………….
My verses awoke from slumber
Bedewed and bathed in rain
With the musings bubbling
To be penned.
Some soaked melancholia
Some wistful longings
Buried long back
In a secret hiding.
Perhaps permeated the water
The nooks and corners
Clearing the lumps
Long forgotten ones,
Perhaps forbidden too
But turned anew
Thudding and thumping my heart
To be composed as verse.
………………………………………………
Those soggy summer eves
When the sun descends
And the sultriness’s released
The earth exhales some despairs too.
The blues blending with the blackness
Magnify the murky night.
Some alight on the weary souls,
Others as shadows chasing some steps
Sometimes lurking behind the starshine.
Silently notices the helpless moon
’til ensues a tussle
Betwixt those shadows and the moonbeams
’til the cloud covers the moon
Wishing those silhouettes to win over
For the mist loved despair.
Awaits the earth and the luna
’til the melancholy settles with dewy,
’til shades of twilight paint the sky.
…………………………………………………
O’ Shadow! Reticent you’re
Though you perceive my pain.
On those nights of absolute gloom
You slept beside me
Bathed in tears,
And sometimes awash
With dazzling sunshine
But neither you grumbled
Nor deserted me.
O’ Shadow! I comprehend this day
How onerous it’s been
To accompany me in high and low
Though powerless you’re
To express your sorrow
You’re the unswerving friend
I’ve ever known,
Palling around me till I disappear
Into this macrocosm.
