Poetry by Ana Aurelia Pîntea

Chorus for departed mothers

I thought of writing a song about you,
and for all the departed mothers,
but on the laptop Do, Re is sighing,
And the chorus is with cold and dry rain.
I look for you at dawn in the past light
Through the rustling of leaves, your voice is lost.
through the wind that caresses the fallen eyelid,
at night when the memory kisses.
You were my spring and summer gaze,
you are my comfort, you are my sunrise,
now you are silence, longing and sigh.
but i know from the shadows you watch steadfastly.
So much I could tell u but heaven is listening,
and my whispers are lost in the abyss,
and you smile among the stars unseen,
but you leave me comfort at night in my dreams.
In my heart you’ll stay home,
in thoughts you will be like a silent song,
Anywhere in the world, by the wind, I’ll be carried,
your love, I carry it like a covenant.
