Poetry By Fiona Gobin

Words

Words are like eggshells
Delicate and fragile
Be careful what you utter
They can break the heart of another.
Words are like the evening breeze
Serene and full of peace
They can bring healing and inspiration
In times of sorrow and disillusion.
Words are like the sounds of thunder
Powerful and vulgar
They can shake you to the core
With reverberations beyond, that is for sure.
Words are like the gemstone sapphire
Precious and sparkling to admire
They can add meaningful value
When polished, for their enchanting hue.
