Poetry By Natalie Bisso

Natalie Bisso

In The Beginning was the Word

That’s not what you mean…
I’m not talking about that…
why did you become a poet?
Did you just want to say it in rhyme?
Does this require courage?

Is the anguish of the heart needed by the word?
Do you need a Muse and a Pegasus?
In a lengthy speech stupid
The fire of poetry has gone out.

I’m sorry… reading your lines…
I feel sorry for all the genius poets!
“Cross stitch”.. Vices
and pretentious patterns of couplets are visible!

Is poetry not dying out?!
Sick, pining and wheezing..
poets fill rhymes,
and the Muse flies into the past.

Sacred, high, dignified,
excited, passionate, dashing-
Poetry, like a bird in the sky, is free,
He condemns hearts to the torments of happiness!

Oh, no!
Poetry burns with a line!
And multiplies the beauty and tenderness!
And the one who burns in this tenderness
is thrown into blind inevitability.

And fresh, great, powerful,
free, rich in new geniuses,
with restless and burning hearts,
saves the world with great basics!

In the beginning was the WORD! – according to the Covenant.
It saved the world from darkness and evil, and loneliness.
It also calls us to account,
saying the truth by the poets of prophecy.
