The Veiled Darkness by Zakia Rahman

The Veiled Darkness

A mysterious, solemn atmosphere,
This veiled darkness!

As if—shrouded in a veil—
The conclusion of some enchanted tale
Yearns, restless, to be told today.
An unknown pulse—

Amidst the surging waves of the mind.
The frothy dread of a futile hope
Unveils itself,
And stifles the very breath!

The familiar world slowly
Weighs anchor in the dead of night;
Amidst the roar of fierce fury—
Preparations for a final journey unfold.

Filled with wonder, I watch—
A new world is being born!

Where my existence
Is utterly meaningless today—
Much like the old paper
Of a discarded document!
